The Art of Hosting with Anne-Marie

Step into Christmas with our co-founder Anne-Marie, as she shares her hosting tips for the festive season.

Setting the Table

"One of my favourite things about Christmas is the excuse to make the table setting festive for every meal, not just Christmas dinner. It's all about the little extras: bows on the candle sticks, flowers on the table, a lovely scented Christmas candle and personalising the name cards with Christmassy touches. Whenever I'm setting the table for Christmas dinner, I always have a sherry in my late Grandma's sherry glass and raise a toast to her absent friends and family. It's a tradition I look forward to each year."

Festive Fizz

"I love hosting at Christmas, inviting all my friends and family around for some festive fun! I'm all about low-effort, maximum impact. My Christmas ice cubes are always a hit. In extra large ice cube tray, pour in orange juice, add a sprig of rosemary, a cranberry or two and the peel of an orange. Freeze ahead of your gathering, then simply pop into a champagne glass, pour champagne or prosecco and let the good times roll!

Gift Giving

"As the host, I think it's important to never let your guests leave empty handed. Whether it's a Christmas gift or a mince pie. I like to make sure anything I gift is wrapped with a personal touch. Something like an initial gift tag that can be reused as a keyring or bauble - that way nothing is going to waste."
